A catamaran has two hulls, so it rocks less in the waves — a good choice if you worry about seasickness. The deck is wide, with plenty of shade and seats. We recommend it for families with children or older travelers, and for anyone worried about seasickness. Choose your boat when you book.
Similan is a protected marine national park, open only in the dry season. Climb to the viewpoint on Island No. 8, the best-known of its 11 islands, and you'll see why this sea is called the Jewel of the Andaman. After a relaxed morning at Sea Star's private pier, head to Similan by comfortable catamaran or fast speedboat.
